Masterclass Clarinet

We are pleased to welcome you to the international clarinet masterclasses with Hermann Stefánsson and Philippe Berrod.


This masterclass will take place November 4-6 at the Royal College of Music (KMH) in Stockholm. We welcome clarinetists from all over the world with the minimum age of 18 years. We are looking forward to a great masterclass that we are proud to offer!

Teachers at the courses are:

  • Hermann Stefánsson, solo clarinetist at the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and Professor at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Stefánsson is also a member of the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Wind Quintet and the Swedish Serenade Ensemble. He has been a soloist with many Swedish and non-Swedish orchestras, including the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra.
  • Philippe Berrod, solo clarinetist in the Orchestre de Paris, and Professor of Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris. He performs as a soloist throughout the world in a repertoire ranging from the Clarinet Concerto of WA Mozart, to the ”Dialogue de l’ombre double” of Pierre Boulez for clarinet and electronic. In 2011 he was appointed professor of clarinet at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique in Paris and in the same year he was guest of honour at Victoires de la Musique.
